Your Shop Success Checklist

Updated

Overview

Your Success Checklist shows you what's working well in your shop and what you can do to help it perform better. It lives on your Dashboard home page, so you'll see it every time you log in.

BloomNation handles a lot behind the scenes to support your shop's visibility and performance. But you know your business, your customers, and your community better than anyone. Your Success Checklist highlights the specific things only you can do to help your shop grow.

The checklist covers everything from your product photos to your delivery zones to how customers find you online. Each item explains why it matters and what to do next.

How to use your Success Checklist

  1. Log into your BloomNation Dashboard.
  2. Your Success Checklist appears on your Home page.
  3. Review your current status and the number of items left to fix.
  4. Click See details on an item to learn more, or Mark done to confirm an item yourself.

Understanding your checklist status

Your checklist is organized into three sections:

  • Critical – items that need attention first
  • Important – items that can meaningfully help your shop
  • When you have time – smaller improvements worth exploring when you're able

All three sections are always visible. If a section has no open items, you'll see a confirmation message instead, such as "Nothing critical right now."

Once you complete an item, it moves to a Completed section at the bottom of your checklist. This section is collapsed by default — click to expand it and review everything you've finished.

Filter by area

You can filter your checklist by area to focus on one part of your shop at a time:

  • Get found online
  • Your website
  • Your products
  • Delivery
  • Marketing & social
  • Tools & setup

Select an area at the top of your checklist to see only the items in that category.

Viewing item details

Click See details on any item to open a panel with more information:

  • What to do – your current status and a button that takes you directly to where you can fix it
  • What changes – what happens in your shop once the item is resolved
  • Why it matters – the impact on your customers or your business

Some items involve more than one requirement. For these, the panel includes a checklist showing how many parts are covered, for example "1 of 3 covered." The item resolves once all parts are met.

Manually confirmed vs. automatically checked items

Some items include a Mark done button, letting you confirm them yourself.

Other items are checked automatically. These update on their own once the related change is detected, and the panel will note "Checked automatically" instead of showing a manual button.

Completed items

Once an item is resolved, it turns green and its status changes to Done. The panel still shows why the item matters, along with a What would undo it section explaining what could cause the item to reopen — for example, if a product that met a requirement is later removed.

Tips

  • Start with Critical items — they have the biggest impact on your shop.
  • Check back regularly. Your checklist updates as your shop and website change.
  • Use the area filters to tackle one part of your shop at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did a completed item reappear on my checklist?

Some items can reopen if the change that resolved them is later undone — for example, if a product is removed or a connection is disconnected. Check the item's What would undo it section for details.

Do I have to complete every item?

No. Your checklist is a guide to help you find opportunities. Focus on the items most relevant to your shop.
