BloomNation Website Payment Methods
Overview
BloomNation websites support multiple secure payment options so customers can check out using the method that works best for them.
Depending on the customer’s device, browser, and saved payment settings, they may see one or more of the following payment options during checkout:
- Credit and debit cards
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Stripe Link
- Amazon Pay
- Afterpay (optional)
- Bank payments for eligible customers
Not every option will appear for every customer. Some payment methods only show when specific device, browser, or account conditions are met.
Credit and debit cards
BloomNation websites accept all major credit and debit cards, including:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
This is the most common payment method used during checkout.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay allows customers to check out using a card saved in their Apple Wallet.
Apple Pay will only appear when a customer is using a compatible Apple device and browser.
Google Pay
Google Pay allows customers to check out using a payment method saved to their Google account.
Google Pay may appear for customers using a supported device and browser with Google Pay available on that device or account.
Stripe Link
Stripe Link is a faster checkout option powered by Stripe. It allows returning customers to use a payment method they previously saved with Stripe.
If Stripe recognizes the customer email address and finds a saved payment method, checkout can continue without the customer manually re-entering their card details.
This sometimes causes confusion because it can look like the customer has not entered a credit card. In reality, Stripe Link is using securely saved payment information from a previous checkout.
If the customer does not have a saved payment method with Link, they will be prompted to enter their payment information normally.
Amazon Pay
Amazon Pay allows customers to check out using the payment and shipping information saved in their Amazon account.
When a customer chooses Amazon Pay, they sign in to Amazon and complete checkout using the information already stored there.
Afterpay
Afterpay can be offered as an optional payment method for online checkout.
If enabled, customers can choose Afterpay at checkout and pay over time in installments through Afterpay.
If Afterpay is not enabled for your shop, customers will not see it as a payment option.
Bank payments
Some eligible customers may also see an option to pay directly from their bank account instead of using a card.
Availability can vary based on eligibility, saved payment methods, and checkout conditions.
Why some payment methods may not appear
It is normal for customers to see different payment methods depending on their checkout setup.
Availability can depend on factors such as:
- The customer’s device
- The customer’s browser
- Whether the customer has a supported digital wallet set up
- Whether the customer has previously saved payment information
- Whether the shop has enabled optional payment methods such as Afterpay
Frequently asked questions
Why don’t I see Apple Pay when testing my website?
Apple Pay only appears for customers using a compatible Apple device and browser. If you are testing from a desktop computer, a non-Apple device, or an unsupported browser, Apple Pay may not appear.
Why does Stripe Link ask for an email address instead of a credit card?
Stripe Link uses saved payment information for returning customers. The email address or phone number helps Stripe identify whether the customer already has a saved payment method. If they do, checkout can continue using that saved information.
Does Stripe Link mean the customer already paid?
No. Stripe Link is just a faster checkout method. The order is only paid once the customer completes the checkout process successfully.
Why do some customers see different payment options than others?
Payment methods can vary based on device, browser, wallet setup, saved payment information, and whether optional methods like Afterpay are enabled.
Can customers split payments on the website?
Customers cannot choose split payments during normal website checkout. The only supported exception is when a gift card does not cover the full order total, and the customer is prompted to pay the remaining balance with another payment method.
